Most Refreshing Natural Juices for the Summer

If you are one of those people who love the summer not just because of the sun and the heat, but also because of the fruits it brings, then you probably indulge yourself quite often with savoury dishes and drinks. If you have been wondering, however, how to cool down and do not seem to know more than a simple lemonade juice, then you have come to the right place. In the following paragraphs you will find all the necessary information about some common and conventional fruit drinks, and some innovative cool ones as well.

Blackberry and lemon juice

If you like experiments, this one will do. A simple lemon juice can be made even more tastier if you add some blackberry in it. All you need is a shaker so that you can mix them up nicely, ¾ oz of lemon juice, fresh blackberries and some rosemary syrup. Pour the lemon juice into the shaker, add some rosemary syrup and 4 cups of cool sparkling lemonade. Shake them good with some blackberries, and serve it in long glasses with frozen blackberries as garnish. If you have a blender, you can mix it up in it as well.

Mango juice

Mango is one of the healthiest fruits because it consists of vitamins which improve your health and immunity. It is also great as a prevention of anaemia, and it controls blood pressure. This is why you simply must try mango juice – not only is it healthy, but it will be great in fighting off heat. Peel off its skin, cut it into small cubes, add some crushed ice, a glass of water and some sugar according to your liking and blend it until it has become smooth. If you do not like the fibres and the pulp, you can run it through a sieve and throw away the leftovers. Serve it in cool glasses and attach a piece of mango on the side for garnish.

Cucumber sangria

This may sound a bit odd, but trust me, this one is maybe the most refreshing combination you will try this summer. All you need is a melon, a cucumber, some mint leaves, a spoon of honey and some lime juice. Cut the melon into halves and remove the seeds, and cut the lime and cucumber into slices. Take a jar and put the lime slices, melon and cucumber slices thinly in round shapes. Add some mint leaves on top. Take another container, add the honey and mix it with lime juice. Now pour the mixture into the jar and there you have it – your perfect refreshment for this summer. Serve it in glasses and add slices of melon for garnish.

Lemon juice

Lemon is probably the queen (or the king?) of summer refreshment, and that is why we are leaving it for the end. Its sour yet extremely refreshing taste shakes you from your head to toes, and is full of vitamin C which gives you strength and can fight stomach-related problems. Another great property is that it fights melanoma, and if you combine it with some ginger your skin, hair and gums will benefit as well. If you do not know how to prepare it, simply cut a lemon in half, squeeze its juice, mix it with some water, add ice on it and if you do not like sugar, you can use much healthier natural sweeteners.

Now, when it comes to beating heat, definitely, nothing is better than natural juices. If you like to experiment, you can give us your own recipes in the comments section below. We would love to learn some more great fruit refreshment combinations!
